Boston, Massachusetts: In addition to being a haven for academics (Harvard, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Tufts are just three of the highly respected universities there), Boston and its neighboring suburbs continue to attract millennials looking for a city easily navigated with public transportation, plus plenty of culture and history. It is not as affordable as some of the other cities on this list, but it makes up for that with its robust software development industry.
