Sometimes a job feels like a dead-end until you ask about what’s next. Promotions and new opportunities are rarely spontaneous, and asking your boss about what you can do to take on a bigger role is one way of opening a new door for yourself. If nothing else: a serious one-on-one with your supervisor can go a long way, especially if you feel comfortable about airing our your grievances and being truthful about your potentially moving on.
